Integration Method & Campaign Details

In this step, you’ll configure how your data connects to Purlos and define the campaigns that will run through the integration

1. Choose an Integration Method

  • REST API – Best if your system supports direct, real-time data transfer.

  • SFTP – Recommended if your data is sent in scheduled batches (e.g., daily or weekly).
👉 If you’re unsure which method suits you, see our guide: What’s the difference between REST API and SFTP?

2. Select Your MIS System

Pick the MIS (Management Information System) your college or organization uses. This ensures Purlos knows where to pull or push the data.

3. Define Campaign Details

  • Campaign Types – Choose which type of communication (e.g., Intro/Welcome Message, Interview Reminder, Open Event Reminder, Partial Applications).

  • Frequency – How often the campaign should run (daily, weekly, monthly).

  • Start and End Dates – Define the time period when this campaign should be active.

Tips for Success

  • Align your integration method with how your team already manages data (real-time vs. batch).

  • Make sure that you have an active Roadmap to place your campaigns

  • Use test campaigns first to validate data flow before going live.

  • Double-check your dates—campaigns won’t run outside of the set window or outside of your Roadmap "Start Sates and End Dates"
