We currently support two integration methods:
🔹 SFTP (Secure File Transfer Protocol)
How it works: Your MIS system exports data into a file, which is securely transferred to Purlos on a scheduled basis (e.g., daily or weekly).
Best for: Colleges that prefer simple, low-effort setup without heavy technical involvement.
What happens next: Once received, our Product Operations team segments the data into the correct campaigns for you.
🔹 REST API
How it works: Your MIS system connects directly to Purlos, allowing data to be automatically pushed or pulled in real time.
Best for: Colleges with an active technical team who can configure API calls.
Benefit: Data stays continuously up to date without waiting for scheduled file transfers.
REST API vs. SFTP: Choosing the Right Fit
REST API = Real-time, on-demand data exchange (like checking your account balance instantly).
SFTP = Scheduled, file-based data transfer (like sending a daily or weekly report).
