The safeguarding of learners is a top priority at Purlos.
As we automate more chats and allow you more control over your pre-designed conversations, maintaining learner safety is important.
We have special automation in place which will raise a query to you whenever certain words or phrases are detected from a learner.
The list of words and phrases that trigger this automation is maintained by our human operations team, and is updated and monitored regularly to ensure we are picking up relevant topics and words.
The query that you will see will be classed as Type 'Safeguarding' and have a subject line of 'Safeguarding - escalated message'. It will also be tagged as 'Urgent' priority. You will be able to access and see this in your normal list of Queries under the Query tab.
Please remember that this is entirely automated, so if you receive a safeguarding query that you do not deem to be a safeguarding issue, you can disregard this. Additionally, we always welcome feedback, so if you think we can improve or add to our list of trigger phrases and words please do let us know.
Finally, our safeguarding automation runs twice an hour at 15 & 45 minutes past the hour.
This means queries will be created for every student that has sent a worrying message in the past half an hour.
For example:
It runs at 10:15, and checks all student messages since 9:45.
It then runs at 10:45, and checks all student messages since 10:15
and so on.
If you would like to understand more about how this works, please contact your account manager or chat to us via the messenger.
