The benefits?

By surveying students with a chatbot, you can find out, at scale, why they might be dropping out of the admissions process.

Don’t feel disheartened when creating a chatbot where you are offering students the option to withdraw.

Instead, see this as an opportunity! Ask the student, 'why do you want to withdraw?'.

We recommend giving them several options to choose from, allowing you to analyse categorise the results that you get back, rather than sifting through free responses.

Go into more detail too! If a student says that they are not coming because of ‘Travel’ ask them ‘Is it the distance or the cost?’. Depending on their answer, you can offer them solutions, or potentially the option to speak to someone on the phone or in person.
