Building a full chatbot conversation is not as daunting as it may seem. We have lots of guidance for you to use but here is a quick overview of the benefits and the basics!

The benefits:

  1. Predict student answers and pre-define the responses - by doing this, you are saving yourself the workload of students coming back with individual queries and responses that have to be answered on a one by one basis.

  2. Customise your options - tailor your communication to tie in with the rest of your organisation’s communications.

  3. Know exactly what is going out - full control and transparency over what messages are going out

  4. Ability to go back and edit - no need to ask Purlos to change anything, you can go back in and amend whenever/what you need.

  5. Turnarounds - identify your own key turnaround points and supply students with fast up to date information that will give you the highest chance of convincing them to come to your organisation.

What is a turnaround?

At Purlos, we consider a student to be a ‘turnaround’ if they have missed out on a key stage of their application, but say that they want to continue as a result of a WhatsApp campaign. Say a student has missed an interview but they tell you, via WhatsApp, that they want to reschedule. Or, a student wanted to withdraw their application, was offered support via WhatsApp, and took up this offer of support. Both of these examples would be a turnaround!

Why is a turnaround important?

Using WhatsApp and chatbots, you can turn students around AT SCALE. This is potentially contributing huge amounts to your organisation’s revenue, if a student is turnaround and stays beyond the 42 day funding period with you.
