Performance Comparison Tab
All of the data found in this tab, is from Purlos captured data. The data you see is from well over 100,000 learners, and at the bottom of the page you are given a breakdown per institution.
Whilst using this tab, you always have the option to use the Subfilters section. This will allow you to filter the data by; Region, Provider Type, Learner Type or Academic Year.
In this tab, you will have the opportunity to compare your results to the rest of the UK. You can compare your Positive Destinations rate to all other regions in the UK, so if you'd like to view other institutions specifically in your region - you can see exactly how you fare.
There is also the opportunity to compare the different type of Destinations that the UK produces on average. In the graph below, you will see the average rate of each of the different Destination types. You can use this data to compare with your institution, using the Outcomes and Types tab.
We will be continually improving this tab, so if you feel like there is something that would greatly help your analysis that isn't currently available, please let us know by sending us a message using the widget in the bottom right hand corner of your screen.
Understanding the Example Questions
In all of the tabs in the Destinations Dashboard, you will notice there are an array of 'Example Questions' hidden behind the Show Questions button. These questions are to support you in your analysis, providing some examples that the data in the dashboard below will enable you to answer.
For example, the second example question in the Learner Participation and Growth tab is 'How well do we remove barriers to positive destinations?'
If you've selected a the relevant question during the survey building, you can use the below graph to help you answer that question. You can use the subfilters to narrow your search down, to see what barriers there are for your NEET learners, that you may be able to remove in the future.
High Needs Learners
Our calculations are slightly different for High Needs Learners. If a learner is categorised as High Needs and achieves any of the following Destination Codes, that will be registered as a Positive Destination:
SDE1
SDE2
SDE3
SDE4
VOL1
If a learner who is not registered as High Needs achieves any of these Destination Codes, this will be registered as a Negative Destination. The likelihood of this scenario is slim, but worth understanding.
