We have introduced a new system for building your survey, more centred around what you are looking for. You have the freedom to choose the questions that suit your institution's needs, whilst navigating through an easy to use building system.
Firstly, you can navigate to the survey builder by selecting Create and then Create Survey from your roadmap.
Then, you will see a guide explaining the survey builder. It's important to read this stage to understand what you will be doing along the way.
Now, it's time to start building. At this stage, you will see that the questions are categorised into different sections, with the first being Outcomes and Types. You will notice that there are ticks next to the three questions. That is because they are all 'Standard' questions, and cannot be removed from the survey. They are vital to engaging with the learner, and have been extensively tested. You can view these questions by selecting them one by one, before progressing to the next stage.
Next is the Curriculum Intent and Impact section. These questions are designed to gather evidence to inform curriculum intent and impact. There is one standard question at the top, followed by three optional questions. As stated in the guide screen, you have three optional questions to add to your survey. If this category is pertinent to your institution, you could select all three of these options. This would mean you can't add any more optional questions in the rest of the survey builder.
We allow for a maximum of three optional questions as it is crucial to not make the survey too long. Learners will become disinterested and not answer the questions at the end of the survey.
The final two categories are Learner Participation and Growth, and Skills for Jobs. You have a variety of questions to choose from across all of the categories. Once you have selected up to three optional questions, you can progress to the reviewing stage.
Now you have the opportunity to review the questions you've selected and the standard questions in one place. You can go back to choose a different question if you change your mind, or progress by selecting Confirm Survey Data Selection.
In the penultimate stage you will be asked to select your Campaign Name and Send Date. When entering the campaign name, you need to make sure it is identifiable for the future.
In the final stage, you will be shown all of the campaigns that will be placed onto your roadmap. We continually chase your learners if they haven't responded to ensure maximum engagement. After extensive testing, we believe to have found the most effective timeline for engaging with learners, so the dates of the chase ups cannot be amended.
Once you hit save, and the campaigns are placed, the only remaining step is to upload your data.
