Uploading FAQs via CSV

You can add FAQs individually or upload them in bulk via CSV. With Knowledge Groups, you can now assign FAQs to one or more groups in the same upload, instead of uploading separate files per group.

Before you start

  • If you haven't set up Knowledge Groups yet, see our Knowledge Groups | Purlos Help Center article first. Groups are optional, if you don't need to split your FAQs, you can skip this and upload everything into your main FAQ list.

  • We recommend using the sample file that we have, which only has Question, Answer column and an optional (Group column)

The Knowledge Group(s) this FAQ belongs to. Leave blank to add it to your main "All FAQs" list.

Reminder: Upload a .csv file with a Question column and an Answer column. You can also add an optional Group column to file each FAQ under one or more of your knowledge groups.

How to upload your FAQ file

  1. Go to the Knowledge tab. From the top navigation bar, select "Knowledge".

  2. Click "Add FAQ". In the top-right corner, select the "Add FAQ" dropdown.

  3. Select "Upload FAQ file". This opens the "Add FAQ to your Knowledge base" screen.

  4. Download the example CSV (optional). Use the "Download the example .csv" link if you'd like a template already set up with the correct columns for your account.

  5. Upload your file. Click "Upload Files" or drag and drop your CSV into the box.

  6. Select "Save" to complete the upload.
