Follow - On Campaigns

Automatically send another campaign to learners who did not respond to your original message. Instead of creating a brand-new campaign from scratch, you can build directly on an existing one — saving time and helping you re-engage more effectively.

How do they work?

  • You first send out your main WhatsApp campaign.

  • After a set period, you can schedule a follow-on campaign.

  • The follow-on campaign only goes to learners who haven’t replied to your original message.

  • This ensures that those who have already responded are not contacted again unnecessarily.

Benefits of Follow-On Campaigns

  • Boost response rates by reminding learners who didn’t reply the first time.

  • Save time — no need to duplicate and manually filter your campaign.

  • Stay relevant by targeting only learners who still need a nudge.

  • Improve learner engagement while reducing message fatigue.

Examples

  • Interview reminder: If you send an interview reminder on 1st May, you can schedule a follow-on campaign for 3rd May to remind only those who haven’t confirmed yet.

  • Event RSVP: If your first campaign invites learners to a careers event, you can schedule a follow-on reminder to ensure anyone who hasn’t replied gets a second chance to confirm.

How to create a follow on campaign?

1. Navigate to your Roadmap

2. Click on the campaign that you want to create a follow on campaign for

3. On the left hand side of the Conversation Designer, select 'More' and then select 'Create Follow on Campaign'

4. Now you can name your campaign and choose a send date. This will be in relation to when the previous campaign was sent as default.

*You can also filter the recipients of the follow on campaign, base on the situation where you want to send the message. e.g. to the learners who did not reply from your initial campaign.

5. You can set the channel where you want to prefer sending the follow on campaign if you enable the 'Advanced Settings'

6. Once you are all set, click 'Next' and you will be directed to your template manager, you can choose from you previous campaign or you can create a new one.

7. Click 'Save' after you have chosen your template.

8. Your Follow-On campaign should now appear in your roadmap! Please remember that you won't be able to upload any contact to your follow on campaign as it will pull up the campaign member from your main parent campaign:

✅ Try using follow-on campaigns for your next reminder — it’s a simple way to make sure no learner misses important information.
