Understanding how to utilise your HE Dashboard is crucial in providing Careers support to those who need it most. Here is a guide of everything you need to know.
You will notice that the dashboard has four tabs, splitting the data into Overview, Employment, Education, and Optional. You will also notice in the Overview tab a Dashboard Video Guide which can also be found here.
Overview
In this tab you will find the high level pieces of data that are crucial to your Careers teams. We first highlight the graduate response rate, before moving onto graduates who need the support the most.
'Graduates needing careers intervention' provides you a table/chart view of all the graduates who are actively seeking out careers support from yourselves. These graduates may be made up of a mix of outcomes, but have all confirmed they need careers support.
'Graduates not working/studying' provides you a table/chart view of all graduates are not in employment or education. Whilst these graduates may not have actively sought out careers support, it is an opportunity for you Careers team to improve their outcome before the GOS.
Next you will then see some Engagement Statistics to see how we are engaging with graduates so far and breakdown per channel. Lastly, there is a table for all of the Graduate Data. This table is dynamic, so any filter you apply to the dashboard will then update this table. In this table you will find a breakdown of those who have responded and those who are yet to respond, defined as 'Pending'.
This table shows all graduate information, but also all graduate answers to our survey. You will notice there are lots of blank cells in this table and that is because the graduate has likely not been asked that question. For example, if a graduate is now employed, they will not see any questions relevant to continued education.
Employment
In this tab, all the data you see will be surrounding graduates who are now in employment. Firstly we highlight the different types of employment, and also the graduates who are seeking a new job or promotion - perfect for interjection by your Careers team.
Next you will see a table view of information regarding the graduates new job information. All graduate data is included, but the final column 'Job Information' aims to provide the job titles and employer.
Lastly, you will again see the 'Graduate Data' table. This is kept in every tab to allow you to download this data from anywhere on the dashboard. This table will only include graduates who are now employed, and again you have complete freedom to place any filters at the top of your page.
Education
On a similar vein, this tab only relates to graduates who have progressed into education. We firstly highlight whether these graduates are applying or partaking in further study - giving the careers team an insight into those who may need support with applications. Also, although they are progressing into education, we ask these graduates whether or not they are seeking employment. Identifying those who are ripe for extra support in finding suitable employment.
Next you then have a table of graduate data with a couple of extra columns at the end. Here you will find their new course and where they are studying under the 'New Course' and 'Provider Name' columns.
Lastly, the Graduate Data table this time only highlights graduates in Education. After placing any desired filters, you can download this table (and any other table) by selecting the drop down in the top right hand corner.
Optional
This tab may not apply to your institution, it is dependent on what was included in your survey to graduates. We allow for up to 3 questions to be added, but this is not mandatory so you may not have added anything.
If you have added any additional questions, you can view these in the Optional tab. To view the answers to these questions, select a question on the left hand side and the 'Responses' graph will update.
If you want to see the exact learners who have replied with a specific answer, select the relevant bar in the 'Responses' graph, and the 'Graduate Data table below will update with the graduate information.
