When creating your email campaign, understanding what you are trying to achieve with it is key. Are you looking to supply the recipient with information, or are you looking to engage in a conversation with the recipient, trying to get an answer from them?

Broadcast

These emails are designed to provide information to a recipient. In this email type you will not receive any responses, as this is not the intention. These emails are traditionally used by Marketing teams, to promote event attendance, alumni sign-ups or anything else.

When promoting attendance or sign-ups, the 'Button' feature is primarily used to link to relevant web pages. For more information on the individual items in an email, check out this article here.

Conversational

These emails are designed to provide information to a recipient, whilst also gaining information from them. Here, you will ask the learners a question, something along the lines of:

Will you be attending the event?

  1. Yes

  2. No

You have the customisability freedom to create the survey however you would like, in a similar vein to the WhatsApp campaigns, whilst also retaining full control over the design of the email. These emails would be traditionally sent by Admissions teams, but all teams can use them for their benefit.
