Authenticating your domain is the first step to successfully sending emails through Purlos. Here are the steps to authenticate your domain.

Please Note

  • If you do not authenticate your domain, your emails will be sent from our hosted domain and will be sent from the below sender:

{collegename}@survey.education

  • If you require a unique DKIM selector for Purlos, please reach out to your account manager.

Step 1

Once logged onto the Purlos platform, select 'Account Management' in the top right hand corner.

Step 2

Then, navigate to the 'Email Management' tab.

Step 3

Next, enter the domain you are planning to use. For example 'purlos.ac.uk'

Then, select proceed.

Step 4

After proceeding, you will then be met with a table. These are DNS records that will require your Network/Development team to change.

Once complete, select 'Validate'.

Step 5

We then validate the records above, and if successful, you will be ready to start sending emails from your authenticated domain! Here's an example of what that would look like:

Step 6

If the validation has failed, you will see exactly which record like below:

Then, you will be required to correct the error and validate again until resolved.
