Here we will cover how to upload your learner data, for Destinations 3.0. This will instructions on how to upload Unknown data to a campaign and also how to upload Known data to the Purlos platform. Each stage has a video tutorial to follow.
Unknown Destinations
Follow the below instructions or watch this quick tutorial.
Uploading unknown destinations should be solely for learners who you are expecting Purlos to contact. Any learner that is uploaded into a campaign on the roadmap, will be contacted by us. So, make sure when creating the CSV, it only includes learners who you want to be contacted by Purlos.
Step 1.
Navigate to the 'Roadmap' tab
Step 2.
Then, identify the specific campaigns you need to upload to. You may need to liaise with the person within your institution responsible for creating these campaigns. If your institution is using the same question set for all learners, you will only need to upload the student data in one place. If your institution will be asking learners different questions based on their funding type, you will need to separate them in the CSV before uploading to separate campaigns. For an example of this, check out the video tutorial here.
Note:
You only need to upload the data to the initial survey. You do not need to upload any data to the 'Chase Up' campaigns, this is something we do automatically.
Step 3.
Ensure you are using the correct submission template. If you stray from the template we have added to the bottom of this guide, you risk the success of the upload. During the upload, we validate the data you have provided. If there are validation errors, we will highlight the issues in your file and explain the exact format of each data point needed. If you proceed with the upload without rectifying these errors, you risk the success of the upload.
Known Destinations
Follow the below instructions or watch this quick tutorial.
Uploading known destinations is for reporting purposes, and at no point will Purlos contact any learners with known destinations. These learners will reflect on the Destinations Dashboard 3.0 for your analysis.
Step 1.
Navigate to the 'Home' tab on the top navigation bar.
Step 2.
Navigate to the Destinations Dashboard, or Destinations 3.0 Dashboard.
Step 3.
Click on 'Import Students'.
Step 4.
Click on the 'Upload Files' button. This will allow you to upload a CSV of known destinations. Once you click 'Next and Preview' you can see a preview of the data, and then upload the data to the system.
If there are any validation errors with the data you have provided, they will be highlighted during the upload. If you are to proceed without rectifying any validation errors, you risk some learners not being successfully uploaded. Once the upload is complete, you will see a summary page confirming the upload.
